Dear SCUPIANS,
March has arrived, and with it comes the fresh rhythm of a new semester. As classes move forward, many students may also be thinking more seriously about what comes next — whether in job hunting, further study, competitions, or broader personal development.
To help students plan their next steps with greater clarity, the Career Advising Group (CA) of SCUPI will launch a new round of Coffee Chat from 19 March to 27 March 2026 on weekdays, open to all SCUPI students.
This round of Coffee Chat will continue in an open and relaxed one-on-one format. Students are welcome to bring their own questions and speak directly with CA. Whether you are currently navigating the spring recruitment season, considering further study options, preparing for competitions, or reflecting on your longer-term direction, the event is designed to offer more focused support and practical guidance.
In the area of career development, CA will be available to discuss common concerns related to spring recruitment, including CV improvement, job selection, application strategy, and career direction.
For further study planning, the consultations will also cover topics such as joint programmes, bachelor’s-to-master’s pathways, overseas postgraduate applications, and cross-disciplinary preparation. Students who are comparing options such as 2+2, 3+1, 4+0, and 3+2 will be able to gain a clearer understanding of the features and suitability of different pathways.
In addition, students who are interested in competitions such as Internet+, the Challenge Cup, or undergraduate innovation projects — but are still unsure about time management, team formation, or participation planning — are also welcome to join the conversation.
Coffee Chat hopes to create a space where students can step back from the pace of the semester, reflect on their goals, and gradually turn broad ideas about the future into clearer and more actionable plans.
